SMM News on April 30:

As of April 30, 2025, the finished product inventories of secondary refined lead smelters stood at 15,280 mt, an increase of 2,540 mt WoW. This week, the willingness to sell of secondary lead smelters was low, and most smelters were either cutting production or halting operations. As a result, finished product inventories accumulated but to a limited extent. During the holiday, some smelters maintained production, but downstream battery producers generally anticipated a holiday and suspended lead ingot purchases. It is expected that the in-plant inventory of secondary lead smelters will continue to increase next week.
